Australia 2009 ECO Pest Control Christmas Cup

After the disappointment of a washed out Jack Willsher Cup, some of Australia's fastest Formula 500 drivers are heading to Speedway City for this weekend's 2009 ECO Pest Control, Christmas Cup and its not too late to enter! Also, thanks to the naming rights sponsor, ECO Pest Control, placing in this weekends 20 lap final will provide teams with an early cash Christmas present. Along with a first prize of $1000, second placing will pay a cool $300 and third place will receive $200.

Adding to the drama of the event, the top six point scorers will race off in a "fastest to the rear" dash over five laps to determine the top six starting positions for the feature.

Another visitor heading to the fast Speedway City clay, way is Dale Sinclair in his lightning quick Yamaha powered Ash Sinclair Signs Stallard. Sinclair was argueably one of the stars of the Victorian Formula 500 scene last season and took out multiple feature victories during the season on his way to taking the Victorian Formula 500 Stampede Series. Sinclair has another chance to square off against fellow Victorian young gun, Liam Williams. The two had many great battles over in the previous season and the battle will be on again this weekend when the big dollars are on offer.

Adding to the strength of the locals will be Kym Gower. Gower has already gone to victory lane this seson in his super fast Coast Yamaha, Hollingsworth powered PMP. Gower being only one of a few to claim victory recently over the current Australian Champion, Brock Hallett. Hallett and his RTS team will be out for revenge this weekend when the big money comes out.

With the grid draw being conducted on Saturday night, just before heat one, there is still time to enter the 2009 ECO Pest Control Christmas Cup and a chance to claim your slice of the money on offer.
